Championing Youth and Women Participation: Hon. Abisola Omisore Meets with the OMITUNTUN Clan

Yesterday, Honorable Abisola Omisore, the Executive Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Area, received members of the OMITUNTUN CLAN—the vibrant young female wing of the OMITUNTUN campaign—at his office in a warm and engaging atmosphere.

During the meeting, Hon. Omisore commended the ladies for their enthusiasm, organization, and commitment to grassroots political engagement. He emphasized the critical role women and young people play in strengthening democracy, noting that their voices and participation are indispensable to sustainable political development.

He encouraged the members to formalize their involvement by registering as bonafide members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that active participation begins with being properly registered and ready to vote. According to him, the PVC is not just a document but a powerful tool for influencing governance and shaping leadership choices.

Hon. Omisore further charged the ladies to serve as ambassadors of political awareness within their families and communities by mobilizing all eligible relatives and peers to also register, collect their PVCs, and engage responsibly in the political process. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting youth and women-led initiatives that promote inclusive participation and strengthen the party’s grassroots base.

The visit underscored a shared resolve to deepen political consciousness, expand participation, and build a more inclusive and vibrant democratic culture within Ikeja and beyond.
