Ikeja LG Hosts ASEZ Digital Rights Campaign to Advance Digital Awareness and Protection

Yesterday, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Akeem Dauda, alongside the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore, warmly received the ASEZ Digital Rights Campaign team in Ikeja.

The engagement centered on deepening public awareness of global digital rights violations, including issues of data privacy, online safety, freedom of expression, and responsible digital citizenship. The ASEZ team also shed light on international legal and policy frameworks designed to safeguard digital rights in an increasingly interconnected world.

Discussions emphasized the importance of local government participation in promoting digital literacy, protecting residents from online abuses, and aligning grassroots governance with global best practices. The leadership of Ikeja LG reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and rights-respecting digital environment, particularly for young people and vulnerable groups.
