Yesterday, Hon. Abisola Omisore, Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, in collaboration with Hon. Shamusideen Olasunkanmi Oloyede Akerele, Vice Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Government, convened a strategic engagement with Mr. Tijani Momoh and his team to advance discussions on the planned deployment of MTN’s fibre-optic internet infrastructure across key parts of Ikeja.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to strengthening digital connectivity as a catalyst for sustainable development. Deliberations centered on implementation strategies, community impact, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless rollout. When completed, the fibre-optic project is expected to significantly improve internet access, support businesses and startups, enhance service delivery, and position Ikeja as a more competitive and digitally enabled economic hub, delivering long-term value to residents and investors alike.
