Hon. Abisola Omisore, Executive Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, on Thursday convened a strategic engagement with leaders of the Alausa Community Development Committee (CDC) and Community Development Associations (CDAs). The meeting underscored the importance of active community participation in governance, with particular emphasis on mobilising residents for Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) enrollment as a critical step toward inclusive democratic representation.
Beyond civic participation, discussions also centered on assessing and improving key ward amenities to enhance their functionality and overall impact on residents’ welfare. Stakeholders exchanged insights on priority needs within the community, collaborative approaches to maintenance and development, and strategies to strengthen the partnership between the local government and grassroots structures. The engagement reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to people-centred governance, responsive service delivery, and sustainable community development across Ikeja LG.
